Bitcoin ETFs see 5-day inflow as price rises above $93k

SoSoValue reported $58.5 million in net inflows for the 12 spot Bitcoin ETFs on Dec. 2, headed by BlackRock's IBIT, which attracted $120.1 million, followed by Fidelity's FBTC and Biwise's BITB, which attracted $21.8 million and $7.4 million, respectively. ARK 21Shares' ARKB outflow of $90.4 million offset some of these inflows. The remaining BTC ETFs had no daily flows.

The fifth straight session of strong demand brings total gains to $288 million. This follows four weeks of outflows that took nearly $4.5 billion from the funds.

Institutional investors renewed demand after U.S. data revealed lower inflation and a softening job market, raising chances of another Federal Reserve rate decrease in December. Fed Governor Christopher Waller and New York Fed President John Williams have also supported a December drop.

Chainlink has typically drawn investment flows amid real-world asset tokenization news, the data shows. Grayscale called Chainlink “essential infrastructure” for tokenized finance.

The report said banks and financial institutions are testing Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) cross-chain settlement solutions. Corporate automation and tokenized fund pilots.

Binance co-CEO move raises Changpeng Zhao control questions

Binance named Yi He co-CEO, raising worries about founder Changpeng Zhao's power when he resigned in 2023 as part of a plea deal.

Zhao, aka CZ, pleaded guilty to a federal offense in 2023 and resigned as Binance CEO. Court filings say the deal includes not participating in Binance global management during a three-year government monitorship.

Zhao and Yi He co-manage YZi Labs, his family office, assets. Public family office records states that YZi is a stylized mix of “Yi,” her given name, and “Z,” Zhao's surname's first letter.

Ethereum reaches $3K as Fusaka upgrade doubles throughput and blobs

The update prepares for lower rollup transaction fees in 2026, according to technical documentation. The fork adds PeerDAS, doubles block gas capacity, and prepares for two blob-parameter expansions this month and in January.

The improvement lets validators check blob data by sampling rather than downloading whole payloads, scaling blob throughput by an order of magnitude, according to Ethereum's technical requirements.

New Digital Assets Law in UK Declares Crypto Property

John McFall indicated in the House of Lords that the Property (Digital Assets etc.) Bill would receive royal assent this week.

King Charles approved property law protection for digital assets, ending the gray area of judicial verdicts.

The judgment was a long-awaited breakthrough for industry organizations.

Bitcoin Policy UK termed the bill “a massive step forward” for Bitcoin and other digital assets, while CryptoUK claimed Parliament has codified what judges had already been applying in specific cases.

Only scattered rulings had considered digital tokens as property under common law before now.

In 2024, the Law Commission of England and Wales advised lawmakers to categorize bitcoin as personal property to minimize ownership disputes.

UK law divides personal property into two categories: “things in possession,” and contractual rights, “things in action.”

Legal experts highlighted that crypto did not fall into either group.

Crypto Industry Sues ABC Over Bitcoin Article

The Australian Bitcoin Industry Body has filed a formal complaint with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation for “factually inaccurate and misleading” Bitcoin coverage, heightening tensions between the booming crypto sector and traditional media.

The complaint targets an ABC report that presented Bitcoin as a money laundering tool while neglecting energy stabilization, humanitarian remittances, and sovereign reserves.

Australia's crypto adoption rate exceeded the US, hitting 31% in 2025, up from 28% in 2024, according to a16z's State of Crypto 2025 report.
