Overtrading kills accounts faster than bad setups.
It’s a psychological addiction — traders chase action, not precision.

1. Set a Trade Cap

Limit yourself:

  • Max 3 trades/day
  • Max 6 per week
When you hit that, stop — no matter what.
Discipline in not trading is stronger than discipline in entries.

2. Recognize the Trigger

Most traders overtrade after losing trades — trying to “make it back.”
The solution? After 2 losses, close charts for 24 hours.
Your emotional state won’t fix the market.

3. Focus on Quality

If your strategy gives only 2 valid setups a week, take only those.
Missing 5 trades doesn’t matter if your two are perfect.

4. Scaling with Growth

Once you achieve 3 months of consistent profit — then scale.
Increase risk per trade from 1% → 1.5%, not 5%.
Consistency first. Growth later.

You don’t need to trade more to earn more — you need to trade better.
