The zero line cross is one of the strongest MACD signals that traders often overlook.

When the MACD line crosses above the zero line, it means short-term momentum is now stronger than long-term momentum — confirming an uptrend.
When it crosses below zero, it confirms a downtrend.

This works best after a long consolidation or reversal phase.
For example, after several bearish weeks, a MACD zero-line crossover upward often marks the start of a fresh bullish phase

Use this with trendlines or support/resistance for extra confidence.
Zero-line crossovers are slower but more reliable — ideal for swing and position traders
